Bobby Jones fairway woods are designed with the classic look that Tour professionals prefer, while incorporating the critical weight distributions that enhance playability and forgiveness for mid- to high- handicap golfers. The three-piece construction features a super-light forged maraging steel crown and golf's thinnest face at 1.6mm. These fairway woods provide explosive distance and incomparable feel. The clean symmetrical shape of the head, encourages easy alignment to the target, providing shot maneuverability that is uncommon in fairway metals. The sleek, tri-tiered power sole reduces drag in all turf conditions.

I purchased the 17 degree club and I am delighted! I am not a good golfer, but I find this club easy to hit. I have been able to get good distance using this fine club and I am totally satisfied.

I own 9 Bobby Jones clubs and love every one of them. The 17 deg. fairway wood is the best of many I have owned. Ths morning I went to Dick's Sporting Goods and compared my driver with the R11, Callaway Burner and FTIz. None of them beat my bobby Jones. Felt good to leave without spending any money. The Pelz wedges are a great design with the extra weight and oversized grip.

I own the 17 deg and 19 deg fairways. I've hit a lot of different fairways over the last 15 years. The BJ Jesse Ortiz fairways have great, explosive feel, are easy to get in the air, and perform well off the tee (tee it relatively low). Distance is excellent. It is a great clubhead. If your trouble is right or left and you have a good swing, that is typically a shaft issue. Educate yourself about the shaft to see if it's the fit for you.

Purchased the 17 degree fairway wood last year. I'm a 21 handicapper. It is much easier to hit and get good loft than the TaylorMade or PinSeeker woods I have used in the past. The finish is chipping a little though.

I am fortunate to have 1000s of clubs that fill over two rooms. I have been involved in testing equipment for years. Former College player who maintains still plays at scratch. I have been using Jesse Ortiz designed fairway woods since 1978! Never has there not been one in my bag! From the Orlimar Diamond series to todays Bobby Jones By Jesse Ortiz clubs. Lord knows that other companies have tried to replace them. But while the fitting centers at Callaway, Cleveland, TaylorMade and others have gotten other clubs into my bag at times, none has ever been successful with the fairway woods. When they see me hit the Bobby Jones' they flat out tell me they can't do better than that!
